The luncheon will commence at 11:45am with AAHU news and updates, and the speakers immediately thereafter. There will be time allotted for questions
or commentary from membership.
STROKE RISKS & PREVENTION
AND INSURANCE SOLUTIONS
Diane will educate our members on the different types of Strokes, and explain the brain damage involved with each form. She will also provide an overview on the populations that are most vulnerable to strokes as well as the latest treatments that effect outcomes. Diane will then explain how strokes are preventable and describe ways to maximize second chances and rehabilitation
Pamela will discuss the costs of stroke, and ways to minimize the financial impact of stroke with insurance. She will discuss short and long term disability, critical illness, and life insurance.

Diane Lada, MSN, ACNP-BC, SCRN
Neuroscience Nurse Practitioner
Diane Lada’s professional and personal experiences have fostered a deep commitment to serving patients with Neurological disorders, namely in the subspecialty of Ischemic Cerebrovascular medicine. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ursuline College (1984) and pursued a career in the Neurosciences, developing clinical programs for advanced treatments in Stroke Care at University Hospitals of Cleveland (1985-1998). Diane completed her graduate work at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, earning her Master’s Degree at Case Western Reserve University (1993). She is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner in Acute Care (1994 to present) and served as the Stroke Program Coordinator at Providence Alaska Medical Center (2011-2019).
